Master Plants Used in This Retreat
The 21-day program is designed for participants ready to work with deeper or more demanding master plants — those traditionally understood to require a longer period of dieta to form a strong connection.
Plants used may include:
- Chiric Sanango
- Noya Rao
- Bobinsana
- Ajo Sacha
- Chuchuwasi
Participants working with more complex teacher plants such as Chiric Sanango or Noya Rao benefit from the additional time this program provides, allowing the purification and connection process to unfold more gradually and completely than in a shorter dieta.
The dieta may include:
- Daily ingestion of the plant
- Plant baths
- Energetic plant blessings (sopladas)
- Personalized guidance according to each participant’s process
Why 21 Days
A longer dieta isn’t simply “more of the same” — it changes the shape of the process itself:
- A slower purification phase. The first stage of the dieta (adjusting to the food, the silence, the isolation) is given more room to unfold naturally rather than being rushed.
- Deeper plant connection. Traditionally, more complex or powerful teacher plants are understood to reveal themselves gradually — several ceremonies and many quiet days are often needed before the plant’s teaching becomes clear.
- More time for integration. With more days between ceremonies, there’s more space to sit with what surfaces before moving to the next stage.
- A more complete closing. Longer programs allow for a more gradual reintroduction to food and daily rhythms before departure, which supports the transition back to ordinary life.
This program is structured in two parts:
- Days 1–15 — The Dieta. The intensive master plant dieta itself: dieta food, isolation and silence, and six ceremonies (five Ayahuasca, two San Pedro), closing with the final ceremony on Day 15.
- Days 16–21 — Integration and Post-Dieta Practice. Rather than departing immediately, participants remain for six additional days of integration and healing practice, which includes three further ceremonies (two Ayahuasca, one San Pedro).
The Retreat Environment
The retreat takes place in the jungle of the shipibo community, in a protected area that the community has given to Guillermo and Daniel Lopez Rodriguez , members of our team .

Accommodation options include:
- Private Bungaloo
- Nature-based accommodation
The retreat is limited to 12 participants.
Participants receive:
- Emotional support
- Individual guidance
- Integration assistance
- Safe ceremonial space
Preparation Before the Retreat
Preparation helps the body and mind enter the process more smoothly. Because this is a longer and more demanding dieta, we recommend beginning preparation two weeks before arrival rather than one.
Preparation guidelines include:
- avoid alcohol for two weeks
- avoid pork
- avoid sexual activity for at least 48 hours before arrival
- avoid certain medications
Participants cannot attend if currently taking:
- antidepressants, antipsychotics, ADHD medication, sleep medications, anxiolytics
Detailed medical guidelines will be shared during the application process.
Integration After the Retreat
Integration is an essential part of the process, and given the depth of a 21-day dieta, we recommend participants take this especially seriously.
Participants receive:
- an integration call after the retreat
- access to a private community group
- continued guidance if needed
Post-dieta guidelines (see general Dieta page for full details) apply for a minimum of two weeks after the retreat for diet and substances, and one month for sexual activity — we recommend extending this given the depth of plants worked with in this program.

Practical Information — Travel
Flights are not included in the retreat price, but we provide pick-up and drop-off at Pucallpa airport.
Booking your flights
- We recommend booking around November, when fares to Pucallpa tend to be at their lowest.
- Look for a flight to Lima (Jorge Chávez International Airport, LIM) first, then book a separate ticket for the connecting flight from Lima to Pucallpa (FAP Captain David Abensur Rengifo International Airport, PCL) — this is usually more affordable than booking the whole route as one ticket.
- The Lima–Pucallpa leg is a short domestic hop, roughly 1 to 1.5 hours, operated by Peruvian carriers such as LATAM, Sky Airline, and Star Peru. Flights run several times a day, so there’s flexibility in timing your arrival.
- Since this is booked separately from your international flight, we recommend leaving a comfortable connection window in Lima in case of delays.
Before or after the retreat
- Many participants build in a few extra days in Miraflores, Lima before or after the retreat, to rest and ease the transition.
- After the dieta, some participants also take the opportunity to travel on to Machu Picchu before heading home.
We’re happy to advise on timing if you’d like help planning the trip around the retreat dates.
First Time in Peru?
If this is your first trip to Peru, here’s what’s worth knowing before you go.
Visa Most nationalities (including the US, Canada, UK, EU, and Australia) can enter Peru visa-free for tourism, typically for up to 90 days. A smaller number of nationalities need to apply for a visa in advance at a Peruvian consulate — check your specific requirement before booking flights.
Vaccinations Yellow fever vaccination is recommended (though not a legal requirement to enter Peru) for anyone traveling to the Amazon region, including Pucallpa. It should ideally be taken at least 10 days before arrival. We also recommend speaking with a travel doctor about malaria and dengue precautions, since both are present in the lowland Amazon.
Altitude note Pucallpa sits in the lowland jungle, at a low elevation. If you’re planning to continue on to Cusco or Machu Picchu afterward, keep in mind those are high-altitude destinations (over 2,400m) — give yourself time to adjust rather than rushing straight there after the retreat.
Insurance We strongly recommend arranging travel/medical insurance that covers your trip.
Emergencies Facilities are in place to transport any participant in the event of a medical emergency.
Money Cash is advisable. ATMs are available locally — BCP is the recommended bank for withdrawals. Note that you can withdraw a maximum of around 4,000 euros per month from ATMs, so plan your cash needs accordingly if your stay is long or you’re combining this with further travel.
Connectivity There is no Wi-Fi at the retreat site. If a genuine emergency requires you to reach the outside world, we can help arrange access to a location with connectivity.
